I watched “Mr. Deeds” of 2002, staring Adam Sandler, and “Mr. Deeds Goes to Town” of 1936, which starred Gary Cooper.
Once upon a time there was a media conglomerate named Sinclair Broadcasting Group. It ordered 62 local TV stations (whom they owned) to air a documentary. People didn’t like what the media conglomerate wanted to do, so they filed lawsuits, or threats of lawsuits, and threatened to sue.
So, how about the government send in secret investigators into, say, the New York Times, because they wrote a piece on a terrorist bomb-threat?
Okay…you get three guesses! What has a bright fuchsia background, vibrant hot pink lettering, with “Big Sex News!” flashed in one corner, while “‘I Cracked my Tooth Stripping for Him’” flashed the other? If that doesn’t scream Cosmopolitan Magazine… I don’t know what does!
