A note from Anne Morris:

New Opportunities for Doctoral Studies

If you are interested in becoming a leader in mathematics education,
the doctoral program at the University of Delaware provides special
opportunities. Generous stipends for full-time study are available
through the NSF-supported Mid-Atlantic Center for Mathematics Teaching
and Learning. In addition, tuition is fully covered and health
benefits are provided.

In addition to the higher than usual level of financial support for
graduate studies, you have the opportunity to collaborate with faculty
and fellow students at UD on teaching and research projects as well as
to interact with faculty and doctoral students at the University of
Maryland and Pennsylvania State University, partners in the Mid-
Atlantic Center for Mathematics Teaching and Learning.

Review of applications for Fall 2009 will begin on February 1, 2009
and will continue until positions are filled. Admission requirements
include a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in mathematics, a master’s
degree in a relevant field, and teaching experience. To learn more
about the program and the current opportunities, go to http://www.udel.edu/education/mathed
or contact Dr. Anne Morris at abmorris at udel.edu.
