The School of Mathematics and Sciences at Wayland Baptist University
invites applications for a professor in mathematics (open rank) on its
Plainview campus for the Fall of 2009. The annual teaching load for this
position is 24 credit hours. A Ph.D. in mathematics or closely related
discipline is required. Preference will be given to applicants with
prior teaching experience as well as a background in any of the
following areas: pure mathematics, applied mathematics with emphasis in
engineering, or mathematics education. As a faculty member of WBU he/she
will represent the University's academic and spiritual emphases to the
students, faculty, staff, and the community in a manner consistent with
the University's mission and purpose. All applications received prior to
December 1, 2008, will receive full consideration and the review of
