[RUME] References and info on developmental math

Dear RUME Colleagues,

I'm looking for recent references and information on college-level developmental (remedial) mathematics 
courses, programs, strategies, and policies that
(1) have proved to be effective in preparing certain groups of students for college mathematics, and
(2) have potential in being scaled up to larger student populations with diverse ethnic and socioeconomic
backgrounds.

"Lessons learned" or "Why certain strategies did not work well" are also invaluable. Please reply to me
off-list if you would be willing to share anything.
