[RUME] Election for Treasurer

SIGMAA on RUME will be holding an electronic election for the position of
Treasurer from May 11-22.  The candidates for Treasurer are Nicole Engelke
and Sean Larsen. Reminders and details with voting instructions will follow.


NICOLE ENGELKE, California State Fullerton
I am honored to be nominated for treasurer of SIGMAA on RUME. I received my
Ph.D. from Arizona State University and am now part of the faculty at Cal
State Fullerton. I have been active in the RUME community for 6 years. I am
well prepared for this position. I served two terms as treasurer of an
undergraduate social and service organization. Further, I worked for 3 years
as an actuary, where I prepared health plan budgets for large corporations.
As your treasurer, I will see to it that the budget remains balanced and
that you get a good return on your dues.


SEAN LARSEN, Portland State University
I have been an active participant in the RUME community since the 2000
RUME Conference and have served on several RUME committees including
the Governance Committee, the Nominating Committee, and the Conference
Program Committee. Currently, I am the PI on two NSF grants for which
I have oversight authority on more than $700,000. I would be pleased
to serve the RUME community as Treasurer of the SIGMAA on RUME.
