Dear RUME members,

Every two years, at MathFest, an award is given by MAA to an
individual with a significant record of published research in
collegiate mathematics education, within ten years of the recipient's
first paper in post-secondary mathematics education. The next award
will be made in the summer of 2010. Nominations can be made by
anyone, and the nominee need not hold membership in MAA or RUME. The
deadline for applications is October 31, after which the selection
committee with select a candidate to be approved at the MAA January
meeting.

Please think about who would be appropriate nominees for this award.
The first award went to Chris Rasmussen in 2006, and the second to
Marilyn Carlson in 2008.

Go to http://www.maa.org/awards/selden_award.html for information
about the award, the nomination process, and where to send
nominations.

Thanks,

Judy Sowder, Chair of the Selection Committee
