As part of our commitment to mentoring new researchers, the SIGMAA on
RUME recently began a
pre-journal review competition, in conjunction with our annual
conference. When researchers submit their papers for the conference
proceedings, newer researchers can opt to enter their papers into a
competition for selection of pre-journal review by a more experienced
researcher. This year we awarded two papers pre-journal review.

Congratulations to our two Pre-Journal Submission Awardees:

Allison McCulloch, assistant professor, North Carolina State
University, for her paper "Mathematicians, Mathematics Educators and
High School Mathematics Teachers: Interpretations and Judgments
Regarding High School Calculus Students’ Problem Solving."

and

Kevin Moore, PhD student, Arizona State University, for his paper,
"An Investigation into Precalculus Students' Conceptions of Angle
Measure."
