Assistant or Associate Professor Position in Mathematics Education
Tenured/ Tenure Track
We invite applications for a tenure or tenure-track position in
Mathematics Education at the assistant/associate level beginning Fall
2010. Candidates must have a doctorate in mathematics education or a
related field (ABDs near completion will be considered), as well as
demonstrated evidence of excellence in research and teaching
commensurate to the applicant’s level of entry. Teaching experience at
grades K-12 or with diverse student populations is desirable. The
position involves engaging in an active program of research, teaching
primarily at the graduate level, providing service to the university,
and developing partnerships in mathematics education across university
departments and with area schools. The successful candidate will join
an active research group at the Kaput Center for Research and
Innovation in STEM Education (www.kaputcenter.umassd.edu/) and will be
a key academic partner in the implementation of a doctoral program in
mathematics education.
