<div dir="ltr">Dear RUME community,<div><br></div><div>I would like<span style="color:rgb(20,24,35);font-family:helvetica,arial,sans-serif;font-size:14px;line-height:15.456px"> to share a quick update about the current state of MPWR 2016. The leadership team has submitted a proposal for 3 years of funding for MPWR seminars and research related to MPWR. It is looking VERY positive that we will get funding, but I cannot yet say that we will with 100% certainty. In the unlikely event that we do not get fun</span><span style="color:rgb(20,24,35);font-family:helvetica,arial,sans-serif;font-size:14px;line-height:15.456px">ding, I would love to have an informal seminar with whomever can join on their own dime. </span></div><div style="font-size:12.8px"><span style="color:rgb(20,24,35);font-family:helvetica,arial,sans-serif;font-size:14px;line-height:15.456px"><br></span></div><div style="font-size:12.8px"><span style="color:rgb(20,24,35);font-family:helvetica,arial,sans-serif;font-size:14px;line-height:15.456px">So, as far as booking flights, if you can wait a little, or book with an airline that is flexible (like Southwest) that would be best. If you are eager to book now, then there will be some risk involved since I cannot say one way or another if we will have a full MPWR seminar this year. Please let me know if you have any questions, and I will share any news I have once I have some! </span></div><div style="font-size:12.8px"><span style="color:rgb(20,24,35);font-family:helvetica,arial,sans-serif;font-size:14px;line-height:15.456px"><br></span></div><div><font color="#141823" face="helvetica, arial, sans-serif"><span style="font-size:14px;line-height:15.456px">(For those new to RUME or who are otherwise not familiar with MPWR, MPWR stands for Mentoring and Partnerships for Women in RUME. With generous support from NSF, we have held a one-day seminar on the Wednesday before RUME (and in the same location as RUME) for the past two years. These seminars have connected women at all career stages within RUME and have featured wonderful talks by leaders in and out of our community.
