Re: [RUME] Post-Doc positions?
West Virginia University has 5 full time tenure track positions open
that might be of interest. We hope to house a core of mathematicians
and mathematics educators interested in education research. Three of
the positions are open in the Mathematics Department and two are open in
the College of Human Resources and Education. The newly formed
Institute for Math Learning, which is housed in the Mathematics
Department, is in the beginning stages of developing a research agenda.
Faculty members are currently focusing research efforts on the before
calculus courses, teacher education courses, and collaborative outreach
projects with the State Higher Education Policy Commission and the West
Virginia Department of Education.
In addition, we have a one year student/post doc position open for the
calendar year 2002. The Institute is also searching to fill a non-tenure
track laboratory instructor position beginning in January 2002.
