Welcome to SIGMAA on RUME. We are a vibrant organization
with
an active membership. You may want to peruse our Web page
( http://www.maa.org/sigmaa/arume/index.html
) to acquaint
yourselves with our literature database, research resources, job
hunting resources, list of relevant publications, charter, purpose,
etc.

According to MAA, SIGMAA on RUME now has 362 members. Our Secretary,
David Meel, has now compared the current listserv membership with the
membership
list we received from MAA. He has added all new members (who
included
their e-mail addresses) to the listserv. To those new members,
I extend
a hearty welcome.

This is a closed listserv -- that means David Meel must add your address
to the listserv in order for you to begin receiving and sending messages.
This has now been done. However, you may remove your name from
the listserv at anytime. This and other options are described
at:
http://www.maa.org/sigmaa/arume/listserv.html
.

In the process of updating e-mail addresses, David noticed that there
are a number of people who have not paid their SIGMAA on RUME dues.
For now, those people are being continued on the listserv. However,
on the
next update, those who have not paid their dues will be purged.

Regards,
Annie Selden
Coordinator

FYI: Our organization was previously called ARUME, which is why
our listserv is still referred to as the ARUME-LIST by MAA.
