and retention in mathematics, a related piece for computer
science was just published by the Computing Research Association.

   John Stankovic and William Aspray, Recruitment and Retention
   of Faculty in Computer Science and Engineering, Computing
   Research Association, July, 2003.

Individual copies are available by sending e-mail to 
Jean Smith of CRA at jean at cra.org.

The report largely focuses on Ph.D.-granting institutions,
but it also starts the discussion for other colleges.
