On behalf of the University of North Carolina Wilmington, I would like to invite you to explore our current job opening with the Mathematics & Statistics department in the College of Arts and Sciences. The Mathematics & Statistics department is currently seeking a Department Chair to act as the representative of and advocate of the department to UNCW's administration and outside constituencies; To act as a mentor and facilitator for the faculty and staff within the department as they carry out their mission; To act as an administrator of the department in accomplishing necessary managerial tasks. The Chair teaches one course per semester at the undergraduate or graduate level. The minimum requirements for this position are a doctorate in mathematics, statistics, math education or a related discipline; an earned doctorate at the rank of Professor in the Mathematics or Statistics discipline and academic administrative experience.
